Ride Into the Sun

April 15, 2011

Ride into the Sun © 2011 Steve Mallis

You need a cowboy
To ride your horse in,
But I’m not a cowboy, I’m an Indian
The sagebrush skips over the desert mountain

And we ride into the sun
Ride into the sun
Ride into the sun
Ride into the sun

You told me that up was down
Then I told you that the sky wasn’t round
You want a condo way up-town
I want a man-cave under ground

And we ride into the sun
Ride into the sun
Ride into the sun
Ride into the sun

You like Italian, I like Chinese
You love pizza, I can’t eat cheese
You love flowers, I have allergies
You love opera, I love mysteries

And we ride into the sun
Ride into the sun
Ride into the sun
Ride into the sun

First stage……. We’re both on cue
Everything seems hunky dory
Second stage… Don’t know what to do
Seems like a different story

And we ride into the sun
Ride into the sun
Ride into the sun
Ride into the sun
